mirage rooms

upon checkin am i best offering a tip to get a good room with strip view or just ask and hope we are allocated one?

Don%26#39;t give a tip when asking for a strip view room. Just ask nicely and politely if there might be any strip view rooms available. If the reception agent gives you one, then once you get your room keys, you might want to give her that $20 as a thank you for helping you out!

Unlike some hotels Mirage has rooms that specifically can be booked with a Strip view. As you would expect these are more expensive, ($20-40 per night depending upon what the rates are for any given day). What classification of room have you booked?

If you really want a Strip view room then you should book and pay for one. If you%26#39;ve booked a regular room and it%26#39;s not such a huge deal then by all means ask politely at check-in if there%26#39;s any possibility of a free upgrade. Expect nothing and if you%26#39;re successful look upon it as a bonus and tip accordingly. I agree with Gabby about not offering cash upfront, though many claim success when doing this.

What Gabby and TC%26#39;s sidekick said.....

I like pool view the best. Regular rooms have all been remodeled. Ask nicely to see what you can get.

Here%26#39;s pics of my last two rooms with pool view. Note you also get strip view looking south.

Lawrance why you recommend strip view room looking south?

what is the different between strip view room looking south or north?

I have a reservation on October at Mirage strip view room for the first time, please help.

Please help

In Sept 06 we had a strip view looking north, not all that special a view, couldn%26#39;t really see all that much. Based on that, I%26#39;d never pay the extra for the strip view. I don%26#39;t know about strip view to the south though.

Sorry, been super busy.

Personally, I think you get both views without paying for the upgrade, like Gabby said. Plenty of strip to see, along with the pool, and views of The Palms and Rio.
