someone posted today that the curfew age is 21. it%26#39;s not, it%26#39;s 18 - a big difference and important to those in this age range.
be informed - get your factual information from the source, not on this TA forum since so much info is so wrong - this could adversely affect many readers who take the posters words as being accurate.
curfew age is 18 not 21
Thank you Bridgefan for posting the correct information. I read that post and thought it was incorrect so I looked it up and found 18 is the true age. I guess you beat me to he punch. Without Marshall Law, how can a State or municipality keep an adult off the street?
I agree there are many inaccurate posts on this forum. While it%26#39;s good for general opinion, this is not a good forum for factual information. Simple internet searches prove that point.
curfew age is 18 not 21
I find that on this and many more forums many people would be easily served by a simple Google search. Likewise, too often folks who really don%26#39;t know the answer are too anxious to answer just to post. Take what you get as what it is, but if you really need a factual answer, look to the source.

I read the earlier thread on this topic, but in light of the OP%26#39;s statement, still have a question.
In the US, except for drinking, age 18 is considered adult. So wouldn%26#39;t it be a curfew for those *17* and under?
Where can I find the source here - Clark County ordinances?
We took our kids this summer for a week and my sister went with her 2 teens and we told them that as long as they had there cell phones they can be out till midnight. I had heard of the curfew but when we would be out at night few seemed to follow that rule so I figured `hey, your on vacation, stay outta trouble` and everything was fine! Nobody ever questioned them!
Rarely is the curfew age enforced on the strip.
Someone did find a link to the municipal codes of Clark County.
municipalcodes.lexisnexis.com/codes/clarknv/
I haven%26#39;t really read the codes and I do think there are exceptions (work, etc) but I did find this:
12.12.010 Curfew--Ages and hours designated.
(a) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, it is unlawful for any child under the age of eighteen years to be in or upon any public street, sidewalk, highway, park, vacant lot or other public place between the hours of ten p.m., Sunday through Thursday and five a.m. of the succeeding day, and between the hours of twelve midnight on Friday and Saturday and five a.m. of the succeeding day.
(b) On all school holidays and during the days of summer vacation, said curfew shall be between the hours of twelve midnight and five a.m. for all citizens under the age of eighteen years. (Ord. 1639 § 1, 1994: Ord. 1148 § 2 (12.12.010), 1989)
This is from the Nevada Driver%26#39;s Manual. It speaks to driving but goes on to talk about curfews in general.
Whoops I forgot to address the issue of an under 18 worker. Driving exceptions are made for teens who have to work or attend a scheduled event such as a school related event. Remember there is a curfew for non -driver%26#39;s too!
From the Nevada Driver%26#39;s Training Manual:
Statewide Driving Curfew
Drivers under 18 may not drive between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless they are traveling to or from a scheduled event such as school events or work. Law enforcement may ask for satisfactory evidence of the event. This applies to all drivers under the age of 18 until they turn 18, regardless of when the license was issued.
