Never been to vegas! Booked 4 nights @ ballys mid November 08..any little tidbits of info including weather(clothing) would be a great help!

We went over Thanksgiving 2 years ago and needed shorts during the day with a light jacket in the mornings.

I took shorts and long pants then and probably will take the same this year.

Unless the weather changes are extreme.

Of course I won%26#39;t take near as much as I did then, didn%26#39;t wear half of what I took :(

November weather is extremely unpredictable and the experiences of others in a previous year may easily be of little or no relevance to your own trip a couple of months from now.

Best advice is to check a forecast as you%26#39;re about to pack to give you a feel of what to expect and take clothes you can wear in layers to cover a wide variety of temperature scenarios.

I was in Vegas at the beginning and end of November for about 7 years. I can tell you this-what blagger posted is exactly right. The temps can be all over the place and what it is like one year has nothing to do with what it is like any other year. For example- at the beginning of November I was able to swim (and wear shorts) some years, other years I was only able to sunbathe while still other years it was so cool/windy/cloudy that I could do neither and had to wear a sweater/jacket even during the day. And this was at the beginning of November!

The average high starting in the middle of November- low/mid 60s but the highs can range from the 40s to the 70s. The average low- low 40s but can range from the teens to the 50s. As you can see- there is no way to tell you what it is going to be like while you are there.

Always, always, always bring clothes that can be layered- tops with short/long sleeves, a mediumweight sweater and a lined jacket. This way you will be prepared for anything. You could be swimmming (doubtful) or you could be freezing during your stay.

Check a weather site just before leaving to see what the temps are going to be like during your visit.

I went over Thanksgiving 2006 and the daytime was short or mid length sleeves and jeans but nighttime was freezing... bring a jacket for nighttime, I will be back Thanksgiving 2008.

Now i have what i should bring clothing wise..is there anything else we should know..I am trying to budget...we are not huge gamblers..we enjoy exploring more..maybe catch a show?..how about food prices..not into fancy restaurants just your basic try to eat healthy style?
