Condensed TR 11 Sept - 18 Sept.

I can%26#39;t compete with some of the really entertaining TR%26#39;s on here so here%26#39;s a condensed and factual one. Hope it%26#39;s ok. Me and DH both early 40%26#39;s, 4th trip to LV and like buffets.

Did the night before check-in at Manchester airport which was great, no queue and managed to get extra leg room seats just by asking...first score of trip. We stopped in a near by hotel for the night and only had to be at the airport 2 hours before flight time in the morning instead of 3. Flew with BMI non-stop direct 10 hours but worth it.The flight was on time (9am) and the service as good as ever.

Arrived on time in LV (2pm), but due to a mix up spent the next hour waiting for our luggage which had been taken to a different terminal. Never mind. Weather boiling hot 102 degrees!!Caught a cab to Bally%26#39;s(no tunnel) nice driver $20 inc tip. No queue at check-in..room ready in North Tower..straight in. Room was lovely, clean and very large. The bed was huge and comfy and inviting! After unpacking had a little stroll around the casino and at 6pm (2am UK time) decided to call it a day and get caught up on our sleep.

Wokeup at 430 am and decided to see the sun come up on the strip. Noticed 3 types of people up at that time...joggers, clubbers going home and ladies of the night actually still working!!

Caught the deuce and went Downtown Friday night which was a lot better than our last trip in March 07. There was a better atmoshpere and more people.

Went to the boxing match at MGM on Sat, Saw Ricky Hatton, Mike Tyson and Oscar De La Hoya. It was full of Mexican people enjoying themselves and it created a great atmosphere...especially when Marquez won.

Changed hotels on Monday to The Signature. Room ready again so straight up and unpacked. The rooms are fantastic. The bathroom is huge with the jetted tub and seperate toilet. The bed wasn%26#39;t as big as Bally%26#39;s but if possible more comfy. Having the kitchenette is very handy as is the cofee maker.

We visited all the new places that had opened since we were there last like Encore and Palazzo (anyone else noticed the smell outside the Palazzo, stunk like sewage) We also couldn%26#39;t believe the size of City Centre, that thing is going to be huge. It somehow looks too big and out of place.

We ate at Main Street Station, Bellagio, Planet Hooywood, Hilton and Wynn, all buffets. To be honest apart from a little extra choice there wasn%26#39;t much in them all. Our favorite was Wynn though I think.

We gambled at every casino we went in and won a bit lost a bit no real hits. We loved 2 machines in particular.. Goldfish and Invaders from the Planet Moolah... both funny and entertaining.

My new favorite drink is a Chocolate Martini(thanks for the recommendation on TA) I think the best CW service we got was in Caesars Palace, we tipped $5 for 2 drinks and they kept coming every 5 mins!

Flight home on time, though they had over-booked and were asking for volunteers to stop an extra 2 nights at Monte Carlo all comped and $200 spending money. Tried to persuade DH to go for it but he wouldn%26#39;t:( To sum up we had a great time, came home with a little bit of money and some brill memories. Hoping to go again in late 2010. We would stop at Bally%26#39;s again without a doubt as location wise and price wise it can%26#39;t be beat for us.

Thank You for the detailed TR, especially helpful on the reviews of the Hotels! We havent stayed at Ballys in yrs, good to know that the North Tower was really nice!

Part of our stay in October will be at Caesars, made me very happy to hear that the cocktail service was outstanding! ;) Chocolate Martini is also one of my fave drinks, fantastic they come around so often! ;)

Thanks again for all the reviews! I will have to find that Invaders from the Planet Moolah, know the Goldfish, and cant wait to play all those fun bonus round games!
