safety of Ti area

Hi everyone!

Would Treasure Island be safe to walk too alone during the night time? If not is there a shuttle close by or a monorail? I am going to stay there the end of this month by myself, to see it would be fit for my husband’s birthday surprise.

Walk to from where? From most of the strip should be fine. From the stratosphere maybe not.

The only place I would probley be out at night is Bally or Flamingo, maybe Harrah%26#39;s or Bellagio. Would this be okay?

Is there a shuttle around ti or a monorail that takes you up and down the strip?

Its perfectly safe.

I feel safe walking pretty much everywhere on the strip alone except maybe around CC area at night. TI are is perfectly safe. There are always alot of people walking around the strip at night, especially around the center, Bally%26#39;s, Flamingo, etc. Just be aware of your surroundings like you would anywhere at night and you will be fine.

You will be fine walking around the places you mentioned. I was at Bellagio last year in Sept, had friends staying at Flamingo, I walked back to B alone a couple of nights and it was after midnight. I was fine!

Minmurphy. Have you ever been to a big city? Durant, OK sounds like Mayberry RFD. Stay with the pack and you%26#39;ll get back. Don%26#39;t wander down the side streets to far and keep your head up to what%26#39;s around you. You%26#39;ll be fine.

There really isnt a shuttle/monorail that takes you up/down the strip. The monorail runs behind MGM to Sahara/Riviera - but is not the most convenient to ride since you have to walk all the way through the casinos to get to the monorail. I%26#39;ve never had a problem walking anywhere on the strip in the daytime and even at night - like the other posters said - be aware of your surroundings. You could always ride the DUECE bus - I think its $5 for a all day pass - but remember - during rush hour times the bus is really crowded. From TI I wouldn%26#39;t go any further than Wynn/Fashion show mall at one end or Mandalay Bay at the other end of the strip on foot. Of course, on foot - that would be a heck of a walk.

It is a safe to walk alone. You do not have to worry about that area. If you want to get to the Mirage and casinos near it from TI without walking (not for safely reasons)- just take the free tram that runs from TI to the Mirage.

I have never felt unsafe anywhere on the strip, downtown or off strip- day or night. Use common sense and you will be fine.

Thanks to you all. Pigbob: I have been to Las Vegas before so, yes I have been to a city. lol, Durant is a small town but it%26#39;s not as small as you are thinking. We actually have a BIG casion and resort area, and a university here.
