One Day In Vegas

We will be driving up from Laughlin for only one day. What are the must sees and dos? We have not been to Las Vegas for 10 years, anything new?

Thanks for your help.

Vicki

One Day In Vegas

If you haven%26#39;t been there for 10 years, you will find that many things have changed...and only one day, so I guess I would see the Bellagio fountains, Planet Hollywood, Paris, go to the Venetian and Wynn, see the volcano (if it%26#39;s finished when you go), and maybe go to the top of the Strat when it gets dark for a view of the strip at night.

One Day In Vegas

Since time is not on your side, you also did not mention what one day means to you, 9am to 5pm, 9am to 11pm??

I would probably focus my attention on things you have not seen over the last ten years or so, the Bellagio, Paris, Wynn, Mandalay, Venetian and a few other Hotels.

If you still have time check out the Forum shops, many new restaurants have opened in the past 10 years making LV a hot spot for top restaurants.

If you are there at sunset, I would recommend that you have dinner at Voodoo lounge at the Rio. Great view of the whole Vegas strip coming alive at night.

There are many new hotel/casinos that have been built in the last ten years. I would concentrate on the biggies- Bellagio conservatory and fountains (at night), Eiffel Tower (Paris) Venetian canals and ceiling. The Forum Shops(mall) at Caesars Palace has expanded. The Aladdin is now Planet Hollywood. I would make a reservation for dinner at a great restaurant. Since you will be there for such a short period of time I would stay on the strip and not bother going downtown or to any of the off strip casinos. You just don%26#39;t have time to see them.

There will also be lots of new construction that you will see. Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, Palazzo complex, City Center, and more.

Lots of the hotels are also getting out of their themes. Mandalay Bay has changed their elevators and colors, and the rooms and hallways are different. Mirage has changed their them entirely- and so did Treasure Island. You%26#39;ll see lots of renovation and change even in your hotel room unless you%26#39;re staying at a hotel that hasn%26#39;t been renovated.
