Steve, they won%26#39;t let me respond on the last blog, so I will start a new one.
I have 50 years of attending concerts, and have seen the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Crosby Stills Nash, Kiss, Hendrix, Queen, U2, the Eagles, Genesis, Earth Wind %26amp; Fire, Beach Boys, Allman Bros, Bruce and E Street, Foreigner, Styx and the Doobie Bros. How many of those have you seen? Give it up, my man. The Guess Who are nowhere. I think the sunny California sun and doobage have tainted your perceptions a bit.
Steve and his Guess Who struggle
I would pay a fortune to see U2- I bet that was a great show! I lived in 29 Palms for 5 years, right by where they stayed writing ';The Joshua Tree'; The song, ';Where the Streets Have No Name'; was written about taking those back roads through the Mohave Natl Forest from 29 to Vegas.... Heck, I even went to see the U2 IMAX 3-D last year and it was great!!!! I bartended for a charity concert for the Marines, it was ZZ Top and 38 Special, and 38 Special really puts on a great show too. They were opening for ZZ, but actually I thought 38 Special were way better.
Still can%26#39;t remember the ';Guess Who'; at all.....
What years were they popular?

It was way back in the last century lol.
I%26#39;m just kind of surprised that you%26#39;ve never heard of them:
American Woman
No sugar tonight in my coffee. (Probably not the title, but that%26#39;s the refrain anyway)
Share The Land.
These Eyes...
Early 70%26#39;s stuff, but still widely played on classic rock stations if that%26#39;s your thing.
I can remember the songs, American Women and These Eyes. I guess I know who you are talking about now, the songs ring a bell, but I never remember hearing who sung them......
Grif no Grateful Dead?
Steve - It sounds like you%26#39;ve been to alot of concerts - but we%26#39;ve all been to alot of concerts. It%26#39;s very subjective. Some people love certain bands, others can%26#39;t stand them. What%26#39;s the big deal if somebody wants to hear the 2008 Guess Who.
I actually had tickets to the Dead in Chicago years ago, but had to sell them when I couldn%26#39;t make the concert.

And I NEVER said anything about the Guess Who somehow being a ';great band'; I simply said that without Burton Cummings that band is NOT the Guess Who.
CASE CLOSED. Rock On!
I think you can say hi to Burton the next time your in town. He was working at the Sonic over the bridge is BHC.
Its sonic good.....
Wavy,
Brilliant post.
BTW, I would gladly wager you that good ol%26#39; Burton Cummings%26#39; bank account exceeds yours by a few million doolars and he probbaly has no idea waht a ';Sonic'; is.
