craps mistake

Last night I had an experience at the craps table at paris, want to know who was right. The guy to my left was throwing, come out roll, I thought I had 2 bucks each on c and e. He throws 12, the stick man, standing just to my right, picks up my c and e but doesn%26#39;t pay me, I say hey wasn%26#39;t the throw a 12, I had c and e, he says no that was from the last roll. I don%26#39;t think it was, although i am not 100 per cent sure of that, in any case if he left it down there and didn%26#39;t pick it up, so I thought i had c and e and didn%26#39;t put any more down, should it not have been considered in play, and they pay me? I should have made the pit boss look at it I guess, but i didn%26#39;t want to make a big stink over 16 dollars. Any thoughts, especially from previous or current craps dealers?

Tell the pit boss. Have them review the tape, they use it all the time, that%26#39;s what it is there for. The game can go on while they take a look.

It%26#39;s your $$ and believe me if there was a mistake in your favor it would be brought to your attention.

$16 or $1600 - it%26#39;s your $$.

Good luck,

Yes i agree with the last poster. I have called the pit boss over many time to have the tape reviewed

Trying to understand this you said '; I thought I had $2 on c and e ';. So you mean to say that just before the come out roll you put a fresh $2 on each, or you had it on the previous roll and you are not sure that the money was not picked up by mistake and you wanted it to count for the next roll? On those one roll bets, its hard to not know if you put the money down or not.

One thing about Craps - you need to watch your money and know what you are playing and what it pays - many times I have had to remind the dealers that I was owed money. Always bring it up clearly enough so the boxman and the dealer will both hear you.

There are a lot of inattentive and poor dealers out there you have to watch them.

There is alot going on at a craps table so you need to watch your own.

Keep in mind the dealers are most likely sober and they do this every day.

Not the case with most players.

Chalk it up to a lesson learned and move on.

Next time know for sure what your bets are and you wont have to quibble over a few bucks.

IM trying to learn how to play by watching videos on ';you tube';. When I get to Vegas I hope it%26#39;s not an expensive lesson :0)

It%26#39;s always alright to ask them to review the tape.

That being said, I strongly encourage people who do so, to be nice about it. The dealers make mistakes too. Nobodies perfect.

If I think there was a mistake, I inquire with the dealer, and if I am not satisfied, I ask them to review the tape- NICELY.

I don%26#39;t do this often, and I have been both right and wrong. Nothing worse than someone raising a big stink and then having to eat crow.

If you ask them to review the play, regardless of the outcome, thank them for their understanding.

I would ask them to review the tape just to be sure.

It seems like sometimes things are just moving so fast at a craps table and othertimes everything is in slow motion.

Besides, the cameras are there to protect both you and the casino from mistakes.
