Hotel for 30th birthday trip

Hello, I am planning a trip to Vegas in May for my 30th birthday and am looking for hotel suggestions. I am thinking about the Flamingo, really like the location but want to see if anyone has any better suggestions. I don%26#39;t want to spend a ton but do want a nice hotel. The group will be friends all in their 30%26#39;s...want a good pool, slot machines, and lots of drinks! Thanks for your help.

If you stay at the Flamingo you might want to get a GO room becuase the regular deluxe rooms at Flamingo get bad reviews for a variety of reasons.

MGM Grand, Mirage, and Mandalay Bay might be nicer than the Flamingo.

The weekend room rates in Las Vegas are always quite a bit higher than the Sunday thru Thursday room rates. I go during the week becuase I can stay in a nice place for $125-$160 and the lines for everything from check-in, buffets, airport secuirity, cocktail bar, ect. are less crowded.

Flamingo is one of the older hotels. Its in the middle but we find that we hang out toward the south part of the strip more. there%26#39;s nothing worth seeing past venetian/wynn area going north. My husband just turned 30 (i%26#39;m younger but a woman never reveals her age) :) .... just so you know we%26#39;re about your age range. Anyways, we spend the day walking around from hotel to hotel seeing things, playing a bit, and nightlife we stay south. Mainly New York New York and MGM. Coyote Ugly is inside NYNY, there%26#39;s a piano bar, alot of the younger crowd you find here. There%26#39;s studio 54 in MGM and LAX in Luxor.

Oh and Treasure Island has Kahunaville. It was pretty fun

Flamingo is a great choice, a very fun hotel, it has the better party pool 4 of them plus a adult pool, Margaritaville for fun, drinks %26amp; good eats. You are close to everything since it%26#39;s center of the strip.

You might want to check out Caesars another great choice.

Go to Harrah%26#39;s website check out Hot Deals for the time you are gonna be there. You can get some great deals www.harrahs.com on top click on LV then hotel then Hot Deals or Stay %26amp; Play package. You may also want to check out Paris another fun place to stay. Have a great 30th B-Day in Vegas wherever you decide on.

Flamingo has a great pool area and is in a great location. As a hotel, it is ok, keep in mind it is a 3 star. You might want to check out the Mirage. Excellent location, rooms have all been recently redone, fabulous pool area and they have Bare, an adult pool. Good dining options in the Mirage as well. It is also a step above Flamingo overall. TI is another hotel that people in your age range like.

Flamingo is an awesome choice for a reasonably-priced 30th birthday trip. I should know, I spent my 30th BD there. Actually hit the big 3-0 sitting at Margaritaville with a table full of drinks!!!

If you can swing a GO room upgrade, you%26#39;ll love the Flamingo. Without the GO room, the Flamingo is just sort of -- eh -- but still, right in the middle of the action. And the pool is one of the top 3-4 in Vegas.

BTW you can check out Flamingo big 4 pools with the waterfall %26amp; setup on the website as well click on pool again the website is www.harrahs.com

click on Hot Deals than back to pool. Also I agree with if you can get a GO room at Flamingo, very modern with excellent Hi-Tech electronics %26amp; sound system, again have a great 30th B-Day celebration in Vegas in wherever you decide on.
