Trip Report LV from Sept. 15-18

This was our 3rd trip to Vegas %26amp; by far the best. We flew out of Tampa and arrived in LV 10:00 Am on Monday, we arrived 30 minutes early which was awesome.

The awful part was waiting for a luggage it took at least 30 minutes, then off to wait for the shuttle. We have used the shuttle twice before and it wasn%26#39;t bad. This time it was terrible, it took forever. Next time we%26#39;ll take a cab.

We finally arrived at the Paris, the check in line was super long, since the hotel was so full we couldn%26#39;t upgrade to a room with a view. The room was nice, no complaints.

Off we went to the Palazzo and dos caminos. The Palazzo is beautiful and huge. The food at dos caminos was good but the guacamole was amazing. I had the kobe tacos and DH had some chicken tacos.

We explored the Palazzo %26amp; The Venetian for a while. The mall at the Palazzo is huge and lets just say Barneys took alot of my money.

We had a buy 1 get %26amp; free ticket for X burlesque at the Flamingo, so we picked up our tickets for Tuesday nights show.

That night we had diner reservations for Japonais at the Mirage.

We were both disapponited, the service was excellent but the sushi wasn%26#39;t that great. What was great was the rock, which is raw steak really thinly sliced, marinated in some great sauce and then you cook it on a rock. Their kobe beef was excellent as well. After dinnwe we walked around the Mirage for a bit and then it was off to bed. We had been up since like 5am.

Day 2, I tend to write alot so I%26#39;ll try to summarize a bit.

We woke up bright %26amp; early %26amp; went to Bouchon at the Venetian for breakfeat. Amazing food, the brioche french toast was to die for.

After breakfast we walked around the Venetian for a bit, saw Floyd Mayweather pulling up in a huge Bentley. After that we went to the Wynn to get our player cards and play some slots, not much luck. Off we went to the Mirage to the secret garden, the baby tigers are amazing. We got to see them play %26amp; eat lunch, I was in love. After that we were off to the TI and had lunch at PHO. I love Vietnamese fod and PHO was excellent. After lunch we walked around TI for a bit and made our way to the Bellagio for a snack at Jean Phillipe Patisserrie, which is always great. After that we walked preety much into every hotel all the way to the MGM. At this point my feet were killing me, so we took the tram back to Ballys and made our way back to Paris to rest up a bit for X Burlesque.

Well the show is pretty much a strip show, no burlesque involved. The comedian was funny. After the show we went to some dueling piano bar at the paris, sat there for a bit and thyen went upstairs for room service.

Day 3- Rental car day

Drove to the Palms to check out Simons at Palms Place excellent food, service was not to so good. They only had one waiter. After breakfast my DH wanted to check out a fight shop, so off we went to find that and it was located in China Town, so it was cool to see that.

After that we were off to hoover dam %26amp; Lake Meade. Totally worth the drive, amazing! After that we drove around just pretty much driving checking out Vegas, found a great bakery off of Flamingo called Cupcake Lane Bakery picked up some goodies. We wanted to try the dim sum at Gold Coast but missed lunch, so off we went to Burger Bar. After Burger Bar we went to the forum shops and did some shopping. After that we decided to go to downtown for a bit, and then we just drove all over went to Sam%26#39;s Town, Palace Station %26amp; some casino I%26#39;ve never heard of called The Cannery. We ended our night at the hard rock. At this point we were exhausted %26amp; starving, so back to Paris for room service %26amp; some sleep.

Day 4 our last day.

We got a late start %26amp; had to rush out of our room. We were starving and at this point it was already 11 so we walked next door to have lunch a Trader Vik%26#39;. I%26#39;ve never had poki before and it was awesome. After lunch we walked around Planet Hollywood %26amp; did some shopping at the mall. I wanted to get some goodies at the Bouchon bakery, so off we went to the Venetian. Then DH wanted to go back to Barney%26#39;s so off we went on the way we had some gelato at Illy%26#39;s at the palazzo, try the lychee fruit, really good. After that we wanted to check out some mall we saw while driving around called the town square, so off we went to do more shopping. Then it was time to head off to return the car. I left my bouchon in the car, I was so mad. Of course I didn%26#39;t realize it till I was sitting in the airport.

All in all excellent trip, the weather was awesome not hot at all. There is wasy more construction this year then there was last year.

Bummer about leaving the Bouchon in the car!! Sounds like you had a busy trip though, in Vegas and your day trip.

I really enjoyed your trip report. Sounds like you had a really great trip!!!

Did you like the ';Cannery'; East? It was close to being done when I was there, and I know they just opened recently. What did you think?

I really liked The Cannery, it was very modern and all the logos were pinup girls, they even had a Marilyn lounge.
