I%26#39;m in charge of looking into Christmas options for my extended family: My husband and I, my parents, grandmother, and brother%26#39;s family with 4 kids (2 newborn!) We live in LA/San Diego and are gung ho for a White Christmas in Tahoe. I%26#39;m familiar with South Lake, but looking for a very %26#39;family%26#39; friendly area for a few days, likely a house rental.
Any suggestions?

Christmas is extremely high season. Lots of rentals want to rent for the week. Though this year you might have a bit more flexibility with the sagging economy so there%26#39;s no harm in checking.
Maybe you would be interested in Northstar at Tahoe. They have a little ice rink and very comfortable seating around the ice rink along with gas fire pits for those who aren%26#39;t on the slopes. I always see families gathering around the area during the day.
